There is an incredible amount of music being created right now.
Some of it has major labels, PR teams and advertising budgets behind it. Some of it is being made in bedrooms, home studios and small independent spaces by artists who simply haven’t found the right audience yet.
Best DJ wants to hear both.
We’re opening our doors to artists, DJs, producers, singers, bands and independent musicians from around the world and submissions are completely FREE.
We’re Selecting Two Artists
From the music submitted to BestDJ.org, we’ll select two artists from different genres for special promotional features across Best DJ.
And when we say different genres, we mean it.
House. Techno. Drum & Bass. Hip-Hop. Rock. Pop. Kizomba. Afrobeat. Reggae. Alternative. Electronic. Soul. Indie. Experimental.
Or something we haven’t even heard before.
We’re not looking for two artists who sound the same. We’re looking for two artists who give us a reason to listen again.
What Will the Selected Artists Receive?
The two selected artists will receive an extended feature on BestDJ.org, including an artist story/profile and interview exploring the person behind the music.
We’ll also introduce their music through our Best DJ platforms and social channels, helping more people discover not only the track, but the story, ideas and personality behind it.
There is no submission fee to be considered.
You Don’t Need Thousands of Followers
This isn’t a popularity contest.
Having 100,000 followers won’t automatically get you selected and having 100 followers won’t automatically count you out.
We want to discover music with character.
Maybe you’ve released your first track.
Maybe you’ve been producing for twenty years.
Maybe you’re an experienced DJ finally releasing your own music.
Maybe you’re an independent singer nobody outside your town has discovered yet.
If there’s something in your music that makes us stop, listen and want to know more, that’s what matters.
Why Two Different Genres?
Because Best DJ has never believed great music belongs inside one box.
Music changes with the moment.
A dancefloor needs one sound. A late-night drive needs another. A festival, headphones, a beach, a broken heart and a celebration can all demand completely different music.
That’s why our two selected artists will come from different musical worlds.
We want contrast.
We want personality.
We want discovery.
Artists, Labels & PR Teams Are Welcome
You can submit your own music, or submit music on behalf of an artist you represent.
Independent artists are especially encouraged to get involved.
Send us the music you’re proud of. Tell us who you are. Tell us why you created it.
Don’t worry about trying to sound like everybody else.
We’d rather discover something different.
